  • Download and use our mobile application (TE-FOOD International B2B App) or any of our other applications that link to this privacy notice

Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect the personal information you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you sign up for the Service, show interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you engage in activities on the Service, or when you contact us.

Personal information provided by you.The  personal information we collect depends on the context of your interaction with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include:

  • Name
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Mailing address
  • Contact or authentication data
  • Identity card number

Sensitive information. Where necessary, with your consent or as permitted by applicable law, we will process the following types of sensitive information:

  • Social security number or other government identification number

App data. If you use our app(s), we may also collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access to or permission:

  • Geolocation information. We may request access to or allow tracking of location-based information from your mobile device, on an ongoing basis or while you are using our mobile application(s), to provide certain location-based services. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you can do so in your device settings.
  • Mobile access. We may request access to or enable certain features from your mobile device, including the camera, sensors, and other features on your mobile device. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you can do so in your device settings.
  • Mobile device data.We automatically collect device information (such as your mobile device ID, model and manufacturer), operating system, version and system configuration information, device and app identifiers, browser type and version, hardware type Internet service provider and/or mobile service provider, and address Internet Protocol (IP) (or proxy server). If you are using our app(s), we may also collect information about the telephone network associated with your mobile device, the operating system or platform of your mobile device, the type of mobile device you use, the unique device ID of your mobile device, and information about the features of ( a) of our apps that you have visited.
  • Push notifications. We may ask to send you push notifications related to your account or certain app(s) features. If you want to opt out of receiving these types of communications, you can turn them off in your device’s settings.

This information is primarily necessary to maintain the security and operation of our application(s), for troubleshooting, and for our internal analysis and reporting purposes.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information collected automatically

In Short: Certain information—such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics—is collected automatically when you access our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you access, use, or navigate the Service. This information does not reveal your specific identity (such as your name or contact information) but may include information about your device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, etc  Referral URL, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily necessary to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for our internal analysis and reporting purposes.

Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.

The information we collect includes:

  • Log and usage data. Log and usage data is service, diagnostic, usage, and performance-related information that our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and we record them in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, settings, and information about your activity in the Services (such as date/time stamps related to your use, pages and files viewed, searched, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called “crash dumps”), and hardware settings).

How much information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Service. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data that tells us your current location (based on your IP address). You can choose not to allow us to collect this information by denying access to it or by disabling the Location setting on your device. However, if you opt out, you may not be able to use certain aspects of the Service.

  • Performance of the contract. We may process your personal information when we believe it is necessary to perform our contractual obligations with you, including providing our Services or at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.
  • Legitimate interests. We may process your information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests and those interests do not outweigh your interests and fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, we may process your personal information for some of the purposes described to:
  • Diagnose problems and/or prevent fraudulent activities
  • Understand how users use our products and services so we can improve the user experience

Legally, we are generally the “data controller” under European data protection law for the personal information described in this privacy notice, as we determine the means and/or purposes of the data processing we carry out. This Privacy Notice does not apply to personal information that we process as a “data processor” on behalf of our customers. In those situations, the customer with whom we provide services and the person with whom we have entered into a data processing agreement are the “data controller” responsible for your personal information, and we only process your information on their behalf in accordance with your instructions. Providers, consultants, and other third-party service providers.   • When we use Google Analytics. We may share your information with Google Analytics to track and analyze the use of the Services. Google Analytics Advertising Features that we may use include: Display Reporting on the Google Display Network. You can opt out of Google Analytics Advertising Features through Ads Settings and Mobile App Ad Settings.   • When we use the Google Maps Platform APIs. We may share your information with certain Google Maps Platform APIs (e.g., Google Maps API, Places API). We collect and store on your device (“cache”) your location. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at the contact details provided at the end of this document.
  • Business partners. We may share your information with our business partners to provide you with certain products, services, or promotions.
  1. WHAT IS OUR STANCE ON THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES?

In Short: We are not  responsible for the security of any information that you share with third parties that we may link to or who advertise on our Services, but not affiliated with our Services.

The Service may link to third-party websites, online services, or mobile applications and/or contain advertisements from third parties that are not affiliated with us and may link to other websites, services, or applications. Accordingly, we do not make any warranties in relation to any such third party and we will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of such third party websites, services or applications. The inclusion of a link to a third-party website, service, or application does not imply an endorsement by us. We cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of the data you provide to any third party. Any data collected by third parties is not covered by this privacy notice. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other websites, services, or applications that may be linked to or from the Service. In Short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. Specific information about how we use such technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies is set out in our Cookie Notice.

  1. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless longer retention periods are required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). Nothing in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than twenty-four (24) months after the termination of a user’s account.

When we do not have an ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup storage),  then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any other processing until it can be erased.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers,  cybercriminals or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. While we will do our best to protect your personal information, you transmit personal information to and from our Services at your own risk. You should only access the Service in a secure environment.

  1. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under the age of 18.

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under the age of 18. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age or that you are the parent or guardian of such minor and consent to such minor’s use of the Service. If we learn that personal information from a user under the age of 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable steps to promptly delete it from our records. In some regions (such as the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right to (i) request access to and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) request correction or deletion; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; (iv) if any, with respect to data portability; and (v) not subject to automated decision-making. We will review and act on any request under applicable data protection laws.

If you are located in the EU or the United Kingdom and you believe that we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Member State’s data protection authority  or the UK data  protection authority.

If you are in Switzerland, you can contact  the Federal Commissioner for Information and Data Protection.

Withdraw your consent:  If we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the contact details provided in the section “HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?” below.

However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to withdrawal nor will it affect the processing of your personal information carried out on the basis of lawful processing other than consent.

If you want to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account at any time, you can:

When you request termination of your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active database. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms, and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

  1. CONTROL THE DO NOT TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile apps include a Do Not Track (“DNT”) feature or setting that you can enable to signal your security preferences are not being monitored and collect data about your online browsing activities. At this stage, there is no unified technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals that has been completed. As a result, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically announces your online opt-out of being tracked. If an online tracking standard is adopted that we are required to follow in the future, we will notify you of that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
