What is the CAL token?

Calories (CAL) is the internal settlement token of TE-FOOD’s blockchain (the FoodChain). CAL exists only within the FoodChain for on-chain clearings.

CAL is a stable token, pegged to USD. The price of 1 CAL is set to $0,00001.

Nodes of the FoodChain are rewarded by Calories to maintain the balance of their rewards. At each settlement, Calories are automatically exchanged to ETH (on the daily ETH/USD exchange rate), and paid in ETH to the node operators.
